A serious accident involving an autonomously labeled Test BMW iX in Germany leaves one dead and 8 heavily injured
It is unclear what happened and if any autonomous features were activated, but the iX steered into oncoming traffic twice
This is the sticker on the back of the iX remains from which BMW claims it was not an autonomous car, specifying, “The vehicle has Level 2 driver assistance systems, which are already installed in production vehicles today and support the driver if desired…”
