ŠKODA AUTO unveils new brand identity and accelerates e-campaign

• New design language, new logo and comprehensive corporate identity update
• ŠKODA VISION 7S concept study gives a specific preview of an entirely new e-model

ŠKODA AUTO is presenting its new brand identity as part of the NEXT LEVEL – ŠKODA STRATEGY 2030. The focus is on a new design language, a new logo and comprehensively updating the corporate identity (CI).

In addition, the Czech car manufacturer is accelerating and expanding its e-campaign: ŠKODA AUTO is going to have three new all-electric models on the market as early as 2026, with more to follow. The VISION 7S concept study provides a specific preview of one of these models.

The all-electric share of the SKODA brand’s European vehicle sales will rise to over 70% by 2030. To support this, the Czech car manufacturer will be investing a further €5.6 billion in e-mobility and €700 million in digitalisation over the next five years.

Accelerated e-campaign:

Three new models already by 2026, more to follow The Czech carmaker is significantly accelerating its e-campaign and will be launching three more all-electric models as early as 2026. Besides a small car, there are plans for a compact SUV and a seven-seater for families.

The VISION 7S concept study, with its range of over 600 kilometres and peak charging rate of 200 kW, offers a specific preview of the seven-seater electric SUV. ŠKODA AUTO is aiming for a share of all-electric models in Europe of over 70% by 2030.

During the transition phase to e-mobility, the brand is strengthening its product portfolio of highly efficient combustion engines and will be unveiling the new-generation SUPERB and KODIAQ in the second half of next year. The refreshed OCTAVIA will follow in 2024.

ŠKODA VISION 7S: Seven-seater SUV based on the MEB with a 600+ km range

The VISION 7S provides the first specific preview of an all-new ŠKODA model and at the same time showcases the brand’s new design language.

The all-electric SUV offers generous space for up to seven passengers and numerous Simply Clever details, rounding off the top end of the carmaker’s product portfolio and customer base. The concept study is based on the Volkswagen Group’s Modular Electrification Kit (MEB) and has an 89 kWh battery. This delivers a maximum range of over 600 kilometres in the WLTP cycle.

New design language, new logo and corporate identity update ŠKODA AUTO has created a new design language for the electric and digital age, which will gradually be rolled out starting next year. It is defined by clear, reduced lines that emphasise the simplicity and value of ŠKODA’s new models. Characteristic elements of the new design language include the new front end with a so-called Tech-Deck Face and sustainable materials in the interior.

The new brand logo no longer uses sculptural 3D graphics. This is ŠKODA’s response to a growing shift in marketing activities from print to online. The Cl has also been substantially revised; in terms of colour, ŠKODA AUTO will now be using two different green hues – Emerald and Electric Green, which represent ecology, sustainability and electromobility.

Ambitious sustainability targets along the entire value chain ŠKODA AUTO is a strong advocate of sustainability along the entire value chain. For example, the company is committed to using electricity from renewable sources. In Mladá Boleslav, producing batteries directly at the plant ensures short transport distances, with the carmaker using two electric trucks for this purpose.

From 2030, the Czech and Indian plants will be manufacturing cars with net-zero emissions. The Vrchlabí plant is leading the way; the site has already been CO2-neutral since 2020.

ŠKODA is also committed to sustainability in its products: An ENYAQ IV uses 13 kilograms of recycled plastics recovered from end-of-life battery cases and bumpers. The recycling rate for steel used in the body is 40%, while the aluminium recycling rate is as high as 60%. The side windows are made of 20% recycled glass. In the interior, the ENYAQ IV also offers seat covers made of 40% virgin wool and 60% recycled PET bottles.

At the same time, ŠKODA AUTO has enlisted the support of a Sustainability Advisory Council to implement its ambitious sustainability goals. The five internationally experienced members provide new impetus and suggestions for current and future measures related to sustainability. This way, they promote a more versatile dialogue on sustainability topics between the car manufacturer and its stakeholders.

Tata Motors signs Definitive Agreement for the acquisition of Ford India’s Sanand plant

Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Limited (TPEML) and Ford India Private Limited (FIPL), subsidiaries of Tata Motors Ltd, today signed a Unit Transfer Agreement (UTA) to acquire FIPL’s manufacturing facility in Sanand, Gujarat.

(i) Entire land and buildings.
(ii) Vehicle manufacturing plants and machinery therein.
(iii) transfer all licensed employees of his FIPL’s car manufacturing plant in Sanand for a total of 725.7 Cr (Rs.

FIPL will continue to operate the powertrain manufacturing facility by leasing back the powertrain manufacturing facility land and buildings from TPEML on mutually agreed terms. TPEML has agreed to provide employment to eligible employees at FIPL’s powertrain manufacturing facility should FIPL cease operations.

Completion of the transaction is subject to receipt of appropriate governmental approvals and the satisfaction of precedent for customary conditions. Gujarat Government, TPEML, and FIPL signed a tripartite memorandum of understanding on May 30, 2022, to support all approvals related to the above transaction.

Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles has outperformed the market in recent years and has strong plans to continue this momentum with a strong pipeline of future-ready ‘New Forever’ products and aggressive investment in electric vehicles is standing This acquisition is timely and a win-win for all involved as our manufacturing capacity is nearing saturation. This will unlock a state-of-the-art capacity of 300,000 units per year, expandable to 420,000 units per year.

TPEML will make the necessary investments to reconfigure the plant and adapt it to Tata Motors’ existing and future vehicle platforms. The unit is adjacent to Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Limited’s existing manufacturing facility in Sanand and should help ensure a smooth transition.

India’s biggest Auto Expo is back and to be held from January 13 to 18 at India Expo Mart, Greater Noida, UP, India, and Auto Expo 2023 components from January 12-15 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi India.

The country’s biggest auto expo also known as Delhi Auto Show is set to return in 2023 next year. The 2023 Auto Expo will be open to the general public from January 13 to 18, the previous edition of the Auto Expo. Auto Expo 2022 was canceled due to the crisis of covid 19.

Auto Expo 2023 Date and Place:

• Auto Expo 2023 – for Vehicles from 13-18 January at India Expo Mart, Greater Noida, UP, INDIA.
• Auto Expo 2023 – for Components from 12-15 January at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, INDIA.

India’s biggest auto show will open with Media Day on 11th January 2023 and many new cars and bikes are expected to be launched during that event.

The 2023 Auto Expo will be officially opened on January 13th and we can see some of the dealers and special guests attending the event along with the media, the show will be opened to the public. On the very next day i.e. January 13, the Auto Expo will be held in Greater Noida like the previous editions while the component show will be held at Pragati Maidan in Delhi.

The last Auto Expo in 2020 took place in an even-numbered year and every show since its inception. The first-ever Auto Expo took place in 1986 and the last time in 2020 marked the 15th edition of the country’s biggest auto show. However, switch to odd numbers in 2023.

This is not the first time that the Auto Expo has been held in an odd number, the last time it happened, was the second edition where the Auto Expo was held in 1993.

Auto Expo has been a launch pad for the arrival of many new vehicles in the Indian market, however, in recent times automakers prefer to reveal their new bikes, cars, and motorcycles in a stand-alone launch event Hosted by themselves.

However, one major carmaker that has not shied away from the Auto Expo stage is Maruti Suzuki, this carmaker has often used the Auto Expo to introduce new vehicles in the Indian market, including the current generation of Swift and Ignis crossovers

The company has also used the Auto Expo to reveal a number of concept vehicles that Maruti Suzuki will launch in the near future and now the second brand along with Maruti Suzuki is Tata Motors which has taken this phase as compared to the previous version of Delhi Auto. these automakers have pulled the covers of concept vehicles that have turned into production vehicles, including both the Tata Harrier and Safari h5x versions of the concept and the punch based on the h2x with data ultrasound, which was the first Demonstrated as a 45x concept.
